Journal of Safety and Sustainability是一本由中南大学主办、中南大学资源与安全工程学院承办、Elsevier出版的英文科技期刊，于2023年1月26日正式上线。目前期刊主编由中南大学李夕兵教授与意大利米兰理工大学Enrico Zio教授共同担任；副主编由中南大学周子龙教授、中南大学吴超教授、荷兰代尔夫特理工大学Reniers Genserik教授共同担任；执行主编由中南大学周子龙教授与中南大学董陇军教授共同担任。编委团队涵盖了来自于中国、美国、加拿大、德国、意大利、澳大利亚等国内外知名学者。
Journal of Safety and Sustainability is an open access journal hosted by Central South University, undertaken by the School of Resources and Safety Engineering of Central South University and published by Elsevier, which was officially launched on January 26, 2023. At present, the editor-in-chiefs of the journal are Professor Li Xibing of Central South University and Professor Enrico Zio of Politecnico di Milano, Italy. The associate editors are Professor Zhou Zilong of Central South University, Professor Wu Chao of Central South University, and Professor Reniers Genserik of Delft University of Technology, Netherlands. The executive editor-in-chiefs are Professor Zhou Zilong of Central South University and Professor Dong Longjun of Central South University. The editorial team includes well-known scholars from China, the United States, Canada, Germany, Italy, Australia and other countries abroad.
期刊致力于报道安全科学与可持续领域实质内涵、对象、研究方法与工程技术的研究，旨在推动社会、工业、经济等领域的可持续发展。大力支持国际社会在安全与可持续性方面的研究与实践，促进安全与可持续性理论与工程技术的创新。充当安全与可持续相关的科学、技术、工程研究的国际媒介。涵盖领域包括但不限于矿业安全、能源与资源安全、城市安全、设备安全等，同时也包含各领域涉及的危险事故、灾害、人失误、环境与人类发展的可持续性。进而为安全与矿业等学科科研工作者、企业技术人员、政府决策者提供国内外研究的最新进展。
The journal is committed to reporting the research on the substantive connotation, objects, research methods and engineering technology in the field of safety science and sustainability, aiming to promote sustainable development in society, industry and economy. Vigorously support the research and practice of the international community in safety and sustainability, and promote the innovation of safety and sustainability theory and engineering technology. Serve as an international medium for scientific, technical and engineering research related to safety and sustainability. The fields covered include but are not limited to mining safety, energy and resource security, urban safety, equipment safety, etc., as well as dangerous accidents, disasters, human errors, environmental and human development sustainability in various fields. In addition, it provides the latest research progress at home and abroad for scientific researchers, enterprise technicians and government decision-makers in safety and mining disciplines.
为了充分发挥青年学者的想象力、创新力和主动的学术交流能力，提升杂志的国际化和全球影响力、为编委会培养后备力量，经编辑部研究决定，我们拟组建青年编辑委员会并于2023年度中国职业安全健康协会科技大会期间召开首届青年编委会议（2023年10月18-20日）。我们诚挚邀请国内外对安全与可持续研究感兴趣、活跃的青年学者，将你们的申请表通过safety@csu.edu.cn发送给我们。期待着您的来信!相关领域专家学者可以以推荐或自荐方式申请！
To give full play to the imagination, innovation and active academic communication of young scholars, enhance the world influence of the journal, and cultivate the reserve force for the editorial board, the Periodical Office of the Journal of Safety and Sustainability decides to establish the Youth Editorial Board. The first youth editorial board conference will be held in October 18-20, 2023. We wish to recruit young scholars at home and abroad who are interested in the Safety and Sustainability Research. 申请条件
1.博士研究生学历或副高以上职称；
Holds a doctoral degree or the title of assistant/associate professor or above.
2.第一作者或通讯作者发表SCI文章（IF≥5），有国家及国际科研项目者优先；
Publications in SCI-indexed journals (impact factor ≥ 5) as the first or corresponding author; those participating in national and international scientific research programs are preferred.
3.具有国际视野，有海外留学、访学经历的学者优先；
Has a global outlook; those with experience studying abroad or participating in international visiting programs are preferred.
4.对英文学术论文有一定审稿能力；
Capable of reviewing academic articles written in the English language.
5.在国外或SCI期刊担任青年编委的优先考虑。
Candidates with experience of serving on the editorial board of a foreign or SCI-indexed journal will be given priority.
青年编委权益
1.获得本刊青年编委会与爱思唯尔联合颁发的编委聘书，聘期3年；根据投稿、推荐稿件、审稿等情况，综合考核后决定是否续聘；
Receipt of a 3-year term appointment from the Youth Editorial Board and Elsevier; subsequent renewal is subject to a comprehensive assessment that may include but is not limited to the number and quality of manuscript submissions, recommendations, and reviews.
2.向本刊推荐优秀论文，一经录用优先刊登；
Publication priority for outstanding articles recommended by the youth member upon acceptance.
3.贡献突出者可获评“优秀青年通讯专家”，经编委会讨论可聘为本刊编委。
Outstanding contributors will be considered for Editorial Board membership of the journal.
青年编委职责
1.每年至少投稿或推荐1篇高质量稿件到本刊；
Submit or recommend at least one high-quality manuscript to the journal every year.
2.积极参与本刊的审稿工作，包括亲自审稿（≥1篇）和推荐审稿专家（≥1次）；
Actively participate in review work for the journal, which includes personally reviewing at least one manuscript and recommending reviewers for at least one manuscript.
3.积极为期刊的发展与推广建言献策；
Actively offer suggestions for developing and promoting the journal.
4.在国内外科研、学术交流活动中，加强对期刊的宣传；
Be an ambassador of the journal in national and international scientific research and academic exchange programs.
5.提供学科最新科研动向，推荐选题，协助编辑进行组稿；
Appraise the journal of the latest research trends in relevant subject areas, advice on topic selection, and assist editors in soliciting manuscripts.
6.积极参加青年编委会会议和本刊主办和协办的相关学术活动。
Actively attend Youth Editorial Board meetings and relevant academic activities hosted or co-organized by the journal.
